- Scope & content
- Series consists of 106 original 35mm colour transparencies created by Toronto photographer Rudi Christl between the years 2006 and 2012. A total of 98 of these photographs were included in his third book of photography titled On Toronto: An Urban Portrait, published by Aura One E. Inc. in 2012. This set of photographs is an updated portrait of Toronto by Christl compared to his earlier photographic works. It shows recent architectural changes, streetscapes, urban parks and neighbourhoods in Toronto and highlights the city's ever-changing culture and diversity of people. Photographs were taken throughout Toronto including areas in the financial district, Queen Street West, Chinatown, Kensington Market, Riverdale, Cabbagetown, Corktown, the Distillery District, and the St. Lawrence Market. Series also includes an additional eight outtake photographs that were not included in the final published work.
