- File consists of one panoramic albumen photograph of Company A, Queen's Own Rifles (with golden retriever dog), posing near the Lakeside rifle range at Fort York around 1880. The soldiers, who are each identified on the photograph, stand before a painting of the rifle range. According to notes prepared by Larry Becker, Company A was the second company in the original formation of the QOR; was begun in 1856; and was originally called the 2nd Volunteer Rifle Company.
