- Letter: referring to the petition sent by certain Algonquins asking for a grant of land in the Township of Lawrence. Refers to Spragge's suggestion of Apr. 5th that they should go to Maniwaki. States that the lands at Maniwaki are valueless to them as their hunting grounds are in Upper Canada and they expense of travelling there is not within their reach.
