- Scope & content
- Subseries consists of photographs documenting the construction of the Parkdale grade separation, a two-year project (1910-1912) that eliminated 13 Grand Trunk Railway level crossings in Parkdale. Arranged chronologically, photographs provide general views of construction and construction machinery, as well as views of neighbouring streets, institutions, and businesses. In particular, subseries includes numerous views of Sunnyside Bridge, Dean's Boat House at 1751 Queen St. W., the Parkdale Canoe Club at 1781 Queen St., and Mrs. Meyer's restaurant at 1801 Queen St. W. Also included are photos of the first South Parkdale Station (which was closed as a result of the grade separation), the first and second Sunnyside Stations, and a Toronto & York Radial Railway Company carhouse.
