- Scope & content
- Subseries consists of photographs documenting the construction of a steel conduit across Toronto Island. Measuring six feet in diameter, the conduit was a replacement for a smaller wooden conduit with a diameter of only four feet. Construction, which began in 1905 and was completed by 1906, was prompted by the great Toronto fire of 1904. Photographs are arranged chronologically and date to the last six months of 1905.
