Scope & content: Vue d'une zone de travaux sur la rive sud, vers le sud-est. On voit une pelle mécanique à vapeur derrière des remorques de terre posées sur des rails. La pelle mécanique porte l'inscription "Marion shovel, model 202. On voit une autre remorque sur une autre paire de rails, plus à l'est. Entre les deux chemins de fer se trouvent des piles de grosses pierres. La photographie portait originellement le numéro 1241. Titre original de l'index : "General view of method of working on Cont no9 - The steam shovel removing the top of the Boulevard and making consolidated fill with the earth on the S. side of the Aqueduct - Taken from Sta.135, S. side looking S.E.. - Sept 14th./21."
