- Scope & content
- Item consists of page 70 of the Boyd photograph album. There are nine photographs on the page, which are captioned as follows: 13652 - Washing potatoes by machine is easier than by hand. To do it for a battalion is hard enough; 13654 - Peeling potatoes under the eye of the cook; 13653 - Sawing wood is fine exercise. These boys are promised a rest - when the pile is cut; 13634 - A busy place is the Farriers Shop. It is the centre of activities of the Veterinary Corps; 13655 - Intelligence Officers taking a compass traverse; 13638 - Immense quantities of fuel are used, and many teams are constantly engaged in bringing it in; 13661, 13660, 13658 - Scaling nine foot fences, vaulting hurdles with trenches beyond, and bayoneting "Germans" are some of the accomplishments our boys excel in.
