- Scope & content
- Letter: asking if it is legal for the Indians to hire whitemen to haul their deer out for them. States that the Indian Agent says they have authority to do so which in his opinion encourages them to hunt as they will pay their employers in venison. Advises that he will forbid everyone from hauling their deer until he receives instructions.
