Scope & content
Petition: advising that he used to receive his presents from Peter Stevens at Bob's Lake, located 20 to 25 miles southwest of the Town of Perth. States that Peter Stevens was appointed by Mr. Morris to issue presents but they have been discontinued since four years ago. Advisethat he [Clemo] has settled in the Township of Dalhousie in the County of Lanark. States that it is too difficult for himself, his wife (Madeleine Macorse} and their five children to travel to Lake of Two Mountains to receive their presents and requests that they be allowed to receive them at a more convenient place. Witnessed by Bathurst Township Clerk, J. Young. Petition accompanied by undated affidavit by Edw. Malivik stating he has known Peter Clemo for over 20 years and recommending his prayer be granted. Recommends that articles be forwarded to either Shiriff, A. Dixon, to L. G. Malivik or to James Young, the Township Clerk.
