What the image shows
This is a black-and-white engraving of a Gothic stone portal with a pointed arch, its recessed doorway flanked by tall carved figures in niches and topped by a window-filled tower above. Ivy trails over the masonry, a tree stands to the right beside a plain stone wall, and two small figures in dark clothing walk on the paved street in front. The printed caption at the bottom reads "PORTAIL DES CÉLESTINS," and the upper margin reads "Histoire de Paris" with the plate number "Pl. 33."Described automatically by a vision model; may contain mistakes.
