- What the image shows
- A hand-coloured engraved map of the Americas, shown as a single continent with outlines in pale green, pink and yellow marking regions and borders, set in a sea with compass-like decoration. The title cartouche in the upper left is framed by an ornate scrolled border with figures beneath it, and dense printed text runs in narrow columns along the left and right margins. A small inset map sits in the lower left corner, and the sheet is printed on aged, yellowed paper.Described automatically by a vision model; may contain mistakes.
