- What the image shows
- An old hand-coloured printed map of eastern North America, titled in French in a decorative cartouche at lower right, showing the St. Lawrence River, the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the island of Newfoundland. Coastlines, rivers and lakes are drawn in green and other tints, and a red line loops around the Atlantic region to the south-east, with small compass roses and a scale-style inscription along the lower edge. The sheet is yellowed and creased, with compass-rose and place-name lettering in small italic and roman type across the land areas.Described automatically by a vision model; may contain mistakes.
