Ces différentes adaptations d'un plan de Montréal par la Montreal Water Works présentent le secteur situé entre le quartier Saint-Gabriel à l'ouest, le quartier Hochelaga à l'est, le fleuve Saint-Laurent au sud et le quartier Saint-Jean-Baptiste au nord. Ces quatre versions montrent l'emplacement et la taille des tuyaux d'eau existants ou à venir, les propriétés à vendre, les postes de police et de pompiers, les parcs et les marchés publics, l'abattoir situé dans l'est, les nouveaux quais projetés dans le port, les réservoirs d'eau, les usines de pompage et les hôpitaux municipaux.
