What the image shows
A printed halftone portrait of a man in a military-style peaked cap and tunic, with a strap running diagonally across his chest, photographed from the waist up against a dotted backdrop. His hands are clasped at the bottom of the frame and he faces the camera directly. A printed caption beneath reads FRANCIS SHERMAN with a bracketed year, and the image sits on a cream page with the watermark Archives de la Ville de Montréal in the lower right corner.Described automatically by a vision model; may contain mistakes.
