Scope & content
Item is a digital image of the back of a trading card created by Anne de Haas to promote the Police Mounted Unit of the Toronto Police Services. The text on the back of the card reads: Vimy Ridge is a 12 year old Percheron cross who is named in honour of the Canadian soldiers who served at this famous battle. Staff Sergeant Graham Queen joined the TPS in 1988. He has been with the Mounted Unit for 4 years. He is the operational Staff Sergeant. For the past 129 years the horses and officers of the Mounted unit have always provided Toronto with exemplary service through hard work, training and dedication to duty. Staff Sergeant Queen and Vimy are patrolling the streets of Regent Park, one of the many diverse neighbourhoods in the city of Toronto.
