Scope & content: Item consists of issue four of Unzer Sztyme, a Yiddish periodical printed in 1945. Issue four has a typed cover and handwritten printed pages with illustrations and photographs in blue ink. The content of issue four features dispatches from Bergen-Belsen including engagement notices and the opening of a Jewish restaurant in Celle. The editors Olevski, Trepman and Rosenthal have texts on the future and history of Judaism in Germany, along with photographs of the Bergen-Belsen and Dachau concentration camps. Issue four also contains reports on visits from Professor Zelig Brodetski (executive member of the Jewish Agency and president of the Council of Jewish communities in England) and Samuel Sidney Silverman (member of the British Parliament, general-secretary of the Labour Party and executive member of the World Jewish Congress).
