- Scope & content
- Plane with a ledge extending from the right side with a mouth opening in the centre to allow the wood shavings to pass through. In the centre of the plane, extending upwards, is a curved wooden handle. The blade extends through the handle: thin metal with a sharpened and tapered bottom edge shaped like a 'U'. The bottom side of the plane has the same concave curve as the blade. Narrative: Item was probably brought from Europe in 1912, at the time of donor's immigration to the Eastern Townships in province of Quebec.
