Text in the image: November 23rd 1945I leave it to the historian todeal with the damnable mess the world is in at the time of this record.A war is raging between the exploiters all over the worldand those they exploit. This may over simplify the situation, however,it is as my simpe mind views it.Between the almighty atom bomb and the reasonablecoming spring,it is likely that there will not bevery many people left to read this report of one man'sfamily in wartime and in wartime because I can hardlyterm what we are goingthrough now as peace.Went to several stores to purchase a suit of clothesa few weeks ago.Not a suit to be had for civilianpurchase. The same applies to other articles of mens'furnishings. Womans clothes are more plentiful but nostockings.I think I have already mentioned that thewe display ouralmost go on their knees to me to sell them the deskI have not in stock. The price ceiling still holds fairly well but there isI believe quite black market in sugar and othermuch needed commodities. Not as bad here as in UnitedStates.Read automatically; may contain mistakes.
