The website of Queen's University Archives is down (for about 4 hours)
Its images and links won't load until it's back. Panarchive shows each image straight from the archive's own website, so when that site is down the picture can't be shown here. Nothing is lost: everything returns once the archive is back up, and we check every few minutes.

- Scope & content
- Letter: stating that Indians of this reserve treated in same way as white men as far as Game and Fisheries Act is concerned. as soon as they leave their reserve (i.e. gun permits and trapping licenses). Further writing that these Indians seldom have money to buy these licenses, and therefore break the law by trapping illegal fur, etc. Further indicating that Indians would obey the law if province would grant request of getting these licenses and permits free, as province would lose nothing since Indians aren't buying them anyway. Stating that there are ..between twenty five and thirty trappers on the Reserve and with some protection they would be able to make some money." Asking Dept. to place request before Ont. Dept of Game and Fisheries.
