- Memorandum: regarding opening of Abitibi Indian Game Preserve for settlement by white families, stating that there does not seem to be anything Dept. can do in matter, as province set preserve aside voluntarily and Quebec Colonization Branch has ruled that land is fit for settlement; therefore, previous concession granted by Quebec has been nullified. Also outlining French settlers' way of life as to use of natural resources and indicating that they will likely be using the Abitibi Preserve in a short time.
