- Scope & content
- Report: stating the requests of the Algonquin of the Township of Lawrence and their request for a reserve in exchange for the land they occupied in this township. Advises of the objections of the Province to the senlement of these Indians in the Park or any township that was to be thrown open for settlement. States that the correspondence shows that these Indians are stragglers from other bands, connected to those for whom the reserve at Maniwaki was set aside as well as those from Golden Lake. States that nothing can be obtained from the Province and suggests considering offering them locations at Gibson where there are other Indians from Lake of Two Mountains.
