The website of Queen's University Archives is down (for about 4 hours)
Its images and links won't load until it's back. Panarchive shows each image straight from the archive's own website, so when that site is down the picture can't be shown here. Nothing is lost: everything returns once the archive is back up, and we check every few minutes.

- Memorandum: forwarding file on unsurrendered lands in the Province of Ontario, lying north of the 45th degree of latitude and bounded on the west by a line running due south and striking the east shore of Lake Nipissing and bounded on the east by the Ottawa River claimed by the Mississaugas of Alnwick. Rice, Mud and Scugog Lakes and by the Chippewas of Lake Simcoe. Advises that there are numerous townships as well as unsurveyed lands in the tract. States that the parties to the Robinson Treaty had no claim to lands east of the east shore of Lake Nipissing nor south of Moose Deer Point on Georgian Bay although the treaty says that it covers the lands south to Penetanguishene. Advises that the unsurrendered tract consists of about 18,950 square miles.
