- Letter: regarding the letter from the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands as to the lands set apart for the use of certain Indians in Lower Canada. Advises that the OC settling apart 230,000 acres authorized by the Act 14 and 15 Vic. C. 106, is dated Aug. 9, 1853. States that the date that the Indians may be considered as being in possession of the tract on that date.
