The website of Queen's University Archives is down (for about 2 hours)
Its images and links won't load until it's back. Panarchive shows each image straight from the archive's own website, so when that site is down the picture can't be shown here. Nothing is lost: everything returns once the archive is back up, and we check every few minutes.

- Scope & content
- Letter with attachment: advising that the Iroquois had received as their allotment the St. Lawrence River, on the islands of which they have their settlements and from which they even get monies from the Americans for the said lands. States that the Algonquins received the south shore of the Ottawa River and the Nipissings the north shore of the Ottawa River. For the past three years, the Iroquois, who have never before disputed this territory, began wanting to go on these lands. States it would be unusual if the Algonquins and Nipissings were to come to share in the income the Iroquois derive from their lands. States that the different Indian nations divided up the lands one hundred years ago and none disputed this until now. Two main Chiefs of each nation are Kisainciss and Constent Penencey.
