- Letter: re his of Nov. 3 which enclosed copy of second report of the Executive Council of Upper Canada re waste lands. Advises against making purchases from the Indians at the present time. Readjustment of claims for lands in Lower Canastates that this will cause a delay in respect to the commencement of the "disposals by sale". Recommends making plan and statement of lands already granted in Upper Canada; what remains in Government's hands to be disposed of; and a description of the parts proposed to be purchased from the Indians with an estimate of the probable expense.
