- Scope & content
- Item consists of page 23 of the Boyd photograph album. There are nine photographs on the page, which are captioned as follows: 11926 - Dinner time in the big tent of the C.O.T.C. was always a hilarious half hour; 11927 - When the newsboy and his cartload of papers arrived, all bought eagerly; 11928 - The officers' kitchen quarters was a model of neatness; 11929, 11930, 11931 - Coming from luxuriant homes, as most of these student soldiers did, the daily shave and bath were a positive necessity. At the Niagara Camp they could indulge in both, and did quite freely every morning and evening; 11932 - The long marches at first played havoc with the feet. A foot bath helped some; 11933 - Proffessors [sic] Miller, Gillespie, etc. of Toronto University washing dishes; 11934 - Pure water could only be had from the water wagons. Elsewhere it was taboo.
