What the image shows
This is an engraved oval portrait of a woman shown from the shoulders up, turned slightly to her right, with her hair piled and curled and a jewelled ornament at the side. She wears a dark gown with a wide off-the-shoulder neckline edged with jewels and bands of pearls or gems across the sleeves and bodice. The oval is set within a decorative ornamental frame with a ribbon-like top and a scrolled base, on a cream paper sheet. The printed caption beneath reads "QUEEN CAROLINA." and a small engraver's credit appears at the lower right of the oval.Described automatically by a vision model; may contain mistakes.
