What the image shows
This is a printed historical map of New France, showing a large area of eastern North America with coastlines, rivers and the Great Lakes shaded in pale blue and green tones. Three smaller inset maps appear in the corners: a plan of a walled town at upper left, a plan of a harbour and fortified settlement at lower left, and a plan of a riverside town with a coastline view at lower right. Two portrait medallions, one of a man in period dress and one of a man with long hair, sit near the top right beside the title lettering in ornate type.Described automatically by a vision model; may contain mistakes.
