What the image shows
This is a hand-drawn sepia map of an early settlement, shown as a long riverside strip of small rectangular buildings running along a wavy river at the bottom, with a few larger plots and cross-streets drawn above them. A small fenced square and a boat drawn on the water appear at the lower left, and a compass rose sits in the lower left corner. Handwritten French lettering across the lower part reads 'Plan de Villemarie et des premières rues projetées pour l'établissement de la Haute Ville', and the paper is stained and torn at the edges.Described automatically by a vision model; may contain mistakes.
