What the image shows
A pencil and wash landscape drawing of a town seen from high ground, with a large bare-branched tree dominating the left foreground and figures standing on the grassy slope beside it. Below a range of hills and a broad expanse of water in the middle distance, a cluster of low buildings, a tall church spire and fields with hedgerows stretch across the centre and right. The image is framed with a printed caption label beneath it, reading in part 'EAST VIEW OF MONTREAL'.Described automatically by a vision model; may contain mistakes.
