Cette carte présente le Bas-Canada, entre l'île d'Anticosti à l'est, la frontière américaine au sud, la rivière Ottawa à l'ouest et le lac Saint-Jean au nord. Elle précise les subdivisions administratives existantes et proposées. Ce document fait partie du lot de huit cartes et plans placés en annexe au rapport du Commissaire des terres de la Couronne, en 1857. Il est accompagné de la page-titre de cet annexe. Le document comporte la signature du Commissaire. La pièce porte la cote 43159.
