What the image shows
This is an engraved half-length portrait of a man in a tricorn hat and a military coat with buttoned cuffs, turned slightly to the left and resting one arm on a surface. A star-shaped insignia is pinned to the left breast of his coat, and an epaulette shows on his shoulder. Printed beneath the portrait is a caption reading "GEN SIR WILLIAM HOWE" with a line of smaller text, and a handwritten-style signature appears below it. The image is a monochrome print with fine hatched shading on a plain background.Described automatically by a vision model; may contain mistakes.
