D'après une note de Philéas Gagnon tirée de son Essai de bibliographie canadienne, ce portrait de trois-quarts, en médaillon, présente peut-être le baron Pierre du Bois d'Avaugour, gouverneur de la Nouvelle-France de 1661 à 1663. Cette gravure aurait été gravée par Mérina en 1648 ou 1649. Le document est en latin. La pièce porte les cotes 1G4638 et 42377.
