Scope & content
Recueil de lettres autographes signées d'Edward Bowen adressées à Lewis Gugy. Edward Bowen est né en Irlande en 1780 et est venu au Canada en 1797. Greffier de la Couronne vers 1800, avocat en 1802, il se marie en 1807 avec la fille de James Davidson, chirurgien des Royal Canadian Volunteers, juge en 1812. Bowen est mort vers 1860. Titre basé sur le contenu des pièces. Les documents sont en anglais. Les pièces portent les cotes 1G3828 et 41176 à 41178.
