What the image shows
A handwritten letter in brown ink on aged, yellowed paper, filling the page with closely written lines in a cursive French hand. A dateline reading Quebec, 22 August 1796 appears at the top, and a printed-style archive stamp with a reference number sits in the upper left, while a blue-stamped credit line in the lower right reads Archives de la Ville de Montréal. The page is a manuscript private letter, with several stacked reference numbers written in ink near the top.Described automatically by a vision model; may contain mistakes.
