Scope & content
Lettres autographes signées de François Cazeau, négociant à Montréal en 1759, soupçonné d'avoir eu des liaisons avec le Congrès des Etats-Unis, en 1775, emprisonné à Québec par Haldimand, vers 1780; il s'évade en août 1782 et se réfugie aux Etats-Unis. Lettre adressée à Jean-Pierre Brissot de Warville, avocat en Parlement et à un dénommé Panet. On trouve aussi d'autres pièces se rattachant à la même affaire. Titre basé sur le contenu des pièces. Les documents sont en français. Les pièces portent les cotes 1G3868 et 39894 à 39897.
