Scope & content
Fonds consists of 41 digital images of Toronto’s wastewater and drinking water systems taken by photographer Katrin Faridani as part of her "Interconnected" project, which traces the path of water between Lake Ontario and the photographer’s home in North York. The project, which documents the Don River Watershed, the Ashbridges Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant, the R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant, the Island Water Treatment Plant; a Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) roof garden, and stormwater pipe upgrades in Faridan's North York neighbourhood, explores the consequences of urbanization and solutions for better water management in the Greater Toronto Area.
