- * Note taped to back of photo reads, "1110. Streets are not playgrounds. Even the fertile imagination of a healthy child cannot turn dirty streets into clean playgrounds or rainwater into cool lakes. And if the child is troubled or neglected, the streets can become a breeding ground for delinquency. We must bring these children into our Jewish Community Center where they can take part in all kinds of play under the helpful, watchful eyes of trained group workers. The Jewish Community Center is one of the many local services supported by our (name of local welfare fund), which also raises funds for Jewish needs nationally and overseas. N.Y. Federation photo by Ike Vern." * red pen and pencil marking around outer edges of photograph * duplicate of PR011822. Ike Vern
