Its images and links won't load until it's back. Panarchive shows each image straight from the archive's own website, so when that site is down the picture can't be shown here. Nothing is lost: everything returns once the archive is back up, and we check every few minutes.

- Scope & content
- This subseries provides information on the Centre d'essai Le Conventum, a meeting point for counter-cultural musicians, visual artists, filmmakers, and theater artists, and co-founded by André Duchesne. The Centre existed from the early 1970s until the early 1980s. The subseries documents activities of the center, but especially the musical group Conventum, which developed within the center. The band, led by Duchesne, existed with different line-ups, which included Jean-Pierre Bouchard, René Lussier, and poet Alain Painchaud, and later Bernard Cormier, Jacques Laurin, and Jean Derome. The band toured in Europe and North America, and it produced two albums : "À l'affût d'un complot", and "Le Bureau central des utopies". It also created the soundtrack for "Le grand remue-ménage", a film produced by other members of the test center. Even if the band dissolved in January 1980, The Centre d'essai Le Conventum continued its operations. In the fall of 1981, it presented the musical theater Clockville, written by Duchesne, with music composed by Jean Derome, René Lussier, Pierre St-Jak, and Pierre Cartier. A few months later, the test center closed. This subseries contains, admission tickets ; stickers ; contracts ; curricula vitae ; drafts ; a letter ; a travel diary ; a sketchbook ; a scrapbook ; flyers ; newspaper articles ; notebooks ; planners ; posters ; sheet music ; a script ; an object ; song lyrics ; drawings ; notes ; photographs ; a program ; a CD leaflet ; and sound recordings, among other documents.
