- What the image shows
- A printed map titled "Montreal Water Works" with the subtitle "Plan of the City" in the upper right, showing a dense street grid drawn in red and blue lines along the riverfront. The street network fills most of the sheet, with a compass rose and a legend box in the lower right, and the words "Fleuve St. Laurent" written along the water at the bottom edge. The paper is aged and tan-coloured, and the sheet is a flat, plan-view line drawing rather than a photograph.Described automatically by a vision model; may contain mistakes.
