Scope & content

What the image shows
This is a printed plan of the City of Montreal, shown as a long horizontal map on aged, yellowed paper with a thin border. The street grid runs along the curve of the river, with many streets and blocks drawn in fine lines, some marked in red, and a compass rose near the lower centre. A title block at the right reads "Plan of the City of Montreal", and the river is labelled "River St. Lawrence" along the bottom edge, with a small island drawn in the water.Described automatically by a vision model; may contain mistakes.
