Ces deux exemplaires, issus de deux éditions successives du "Mackay's Montreal directory", présentent la ville de Montréal et ses neufs quartiers, du quartier de Sainte-Anne à l'ouest au quartier Sainte-Marie (Saint-Mary's) à l'est, des rives du fleuve Saint-Laurent au sud à la rue Sherbrooke au nord. Un index renvoie à 22 bâtiments d'importance et indique l'emplacement des églises.
