What the image shows
A printed halftone portrait of an elderly bearded man with white hair, shown from the shoulders up in a dark suit and bow tie against a dark backdrop. The photograph is framed by a thin white rule within a dark border, and a caption in capital letters beneath it reads "CHARLES LINDSEY", followed by a line of smaller text: "whose example helped to raise the tone of journalism in Canada". It appears to be a reproduction of a plate from a printed book or periodical.Described automatically by a vision model; may contain mistakes.
