- What the image shows
- A black-and-white photograph taken from above, looking down into a deep trench dug along a paved street. A large cylindrical water pipe lies inside the trench, held by timber bracing, with several workers standing along its edge and one kneeling near the pipe. A stone retaining wall runs along the left, with piles of broken bricks and rubble beside the trench, and on the right side of the street a few early automobiles and pedestrians are visible. The watermark in the lower right reads "Archives de la Ville de Montréal".Described automatically by a vision model; may contain mistakes.
