What the image shows
A black-and-white photograph looking down into an excavation at a stone-walled site, with a dark stone wall rising across the top of the frame. Two workers stand among timber beams and planks, and one of them is handling a large pale block hanging from a chain on a rig, while a third figure stands further back near an opening in the wall. Wooden props, a ladder, rubble and cables fill the foreground, and the image has the watermark 'Archives de la Ville de Montréal' in the lower right.Described automatically by a vision model; may contain mistakes.
