- Scope & content
- Item consists of page 49 of the Boyd photograph album. There are nine photographs on the page, which are captioned as follows: 12811, 12812, 12813 - Trench digging, filling sand bags and such like labors, with a 30 knot breeze off Lake Ontario is positively healthy and invigorating; 12808 - A tunnel with a half mile of arteries; 12814 - Filling sand bags for the other fellow to empty and fill again is part of the game of war ; 12810 - Deep in the trenches it isn't so cold; 12815, 12816 - A blizzard of a snow storm has just passed over. The boys wanted to be pictured at work. These are two earnest efforts to show just how they do work. I give them as truthful representations; 12836 - Officers getting instruction on range finding. This is a one man range finder.
