- Contains a booklet of the series “Teater Heftn” (Lit. Theatre Notebooks) AKA Theater Leaves, a serialized publication which included biographies and a description of the life-work of figures involved in Yiddish theatre (including directors, dramatists, actors, writers, critics, composers, etc). This entry contains an extremely detailed account of Dovid Pinsky’s life and work: summaries of each work in their historical context, quotes from contemporary reviews and writings about Peretz, reports of old and new performances and events dedicated to Pinsky. Also contains photos of sheet music, performances, sets, play posters, and Pinsky’s personal notes. Includes list of citations, and index of Pinsky’s works. Published by the Hebrew Actor’s Union of America, with the help of the Dovid Pinsky branches of the Jewish National Workers Alliance (Farband); a list of branches is included at the front. Compiled and edited by Zalmen Zylbercweig, assisted by Jacob Mestel.
