Scope & content
This series includes philanthropic programs and invitations, and internal organization documents like communications, constitutions, donation acknowledgement letters, meeting notes, and budgets. Also included are correspondences Switzman carried out on behalf of Jewish organizations. In particular, the fonds contains extensive correspondence collections with Dovid Pinsky (the then-president of the Farband and namesake of the Montreal branch of the Farband cofounded by Switzman), and with Louis Segal (the General Secretary of the Farband). Due to Switzman’s involvement in the Warsaw Landsmanshaft, the Switzman fonds contain a number of reports and articles regarding the Warsaw ghetto uprising.
