1 page, single-sided horizontal slip of typewritten note on onion skin, dated at bottom left 1943.VIII.29, from from Feri Weinberger addressed to his parents: "Draga Szuleim" [trad.: "My dear parents"]. Corrected address below a line of text that has been crossed out with typed X's. Narrative: Donor is Elaine Kalman Naves, daughter of Gustav and Anikó Weinberger. Feri Weinberger (b. 1907) was Gustav's brother. He was killed in Auschwitz in 1944. This note was likely written from Bor. This collection of correspondence was used as part of the research for the following book: Kalman Naves, Elaine. Journey to Vaja: Reconstructing the World of a Hungarian-Jewish Family. Montreal: McGill-Queen's University Press, 1996. Print.
