Concentration camp badge : Sewn : red, yellow, black ; Ht: 3 in. x W: 3,25 in.
Scope & content
Two fabric triangles, one red, one yellow, sewn together to create a six-pointed star. Both triangles have yellow stitching around edges. Sewn together with black thread, so that upper red triangle has a black line in pentagon shape. The red color of the upper triangle on this badge indicates that the prisoner was designated as a Jewish political prisoner, not simply as Jewish.
